British Mixed Doubles Invitational - The Billy Ross Skinner 2019

On Friday 8th - Sunday 10th February 2019 Hhtc Pros Hosted The British Mixed Doubles Invitational Championship - The Billy Ross Skinner.

This entailed 16 of the best available ladies in the game to be partnered up with a male partner making the pairings handicaps as even as possible with matches played off level but with 40 all games which added extra drama throughout the tournament.

We had many hard fought matches displaying some fantastic tennis with 4 of them going down to the final point at 5 all 40 all!

The eventual winners were Katie Leppard and Simon Talbot-Williams who proved too strong for Natalie Barber and Fred Satow clinching the title 6/2 6/3 which saw Katie retaining the title for a 2nd year in a row!

Both pairings had battled their way through a very tough field to get to this point and It was great to see so many matches played in good spirit with players who weren't on court & spectators filling up the Dedans and cheering on the competitors creating a great atmosphere throughout the event.

Huge thanks also to Liz Fisher, Sarah Sullivan and Jacqueline Sherman for all their efforts throughout the event with catering and looking after our visitors. We really couldn't host events like this without our members help so many thanks for all those who got involved.

We hope to see many of you back at the club next year for another exciting & enjoyable tournament!
