HHTC Golf Day – 25th August 2023

Yesterday HHTC hosted its Annual Golf Day at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in lovely Sunny conditions and a light breeze.

This Year we had 6 competitors split into two teams of 3 playing for the Stableford Team event as well as prizes for the best individual Stableford score, Longest drive on 15 and nearest the pin on 17 with a fabulous Roast Beef dinner after the round at the club house.

The winner of the longest Drive was Julian Pawle who out drove his nearest competitor by 20 yards straight down the middle of the fairway with his new Ping driver on the 15th!

Adrian Akers hit a superb tee shot on par 3 17th to win nearest the pin with James Law just missing out by 2 yards.

After all 18 holes were completed the team Stableford scores were tallied up and impressively tied with both

teams accumulating 93 points! This was settled on team countback with Team Dawes just edging this years Team event!

In the Individual Stableford the scores were all very close but it was a late surge by Head Professional Jon Dawes

finishing off his round with 4 course pars and picking up 12 valuable late points to claim victory with a total of 36 points for his round closely followed by Adrian Akers on 35 and James Law on 34.

Shot of the tournament went to Steve Brewerton for holing an outrageous putt from off the green with a perfectly weighted shot.
